The primary race date is: March 21st,, but may be rescheduled to March 28th if water levels dictate. Email notification will be sent to NESS emailing list if the date changes. In addition, the information will be posted on the NESS Slalom Forum at NPMB.com. |

Pre-registration will be accepted via mail from February 21st through March 16, or, to March 23rd if the race date is moved to March 28th. |

| Camping: | Not officially available at race site, but there has never been a problem. | |
| Lodging: | Riverdale Motel, Route 66, Portland, CT - 860-342-3498. | |
| Directions: |
West of Hartford , from I-84 take I-691, east, to Route 66, east to Middletown, CT
or take I-91 to Route 66 East. Stay on Route 66, East thru Middeltown, CT to Route 16. Go east for 6 miles. Turn left, North, on Comstock Bridge Rd. Proceed north, past the covered bridge, bearing right at the fork in the road. It's about 2 miles to the race site under power lines. From the East, take Route 2 West thru Norwich to Route 16. Go West for 6 miles. After going over the Salmon R, turn right onto Comstock Bridge Rd. Proceed with above directions. |

A BEGINNER COURSE WILL BE SET FOR THE SALMON RIVER SLALOM RACE. A RACING CLINIC FOR NEW RACERS WILL BE AVAILABLE SATURDAY MORNING, DEPENDING ON INTEREST SHOWN AND AVAILABILITY OF CLINIC MENTORS. |
