Canoe & Kayak Racing Rules |

General Information:

| Canoe and Kayak Racing Rules are adopted by the governing body for each racing venue. These rules are maintained by these governing bodies who are solely responcible for their content. Some events may only generally follow a given set of rules and modify them for local use. Only International, as well as, ACA National and Divisional events are obliged to follow the appropriate rules exactly. |

| Open Canoe Slalom rules use 10 second penalties/gate and uses the better of two runs.& text. |
| Closed Boat Slalom uses 2 second penalties/gate and combines the score from both runs. |
| WWOC point to point races are divided into whitewater Downriver and Marathon racing. |
| Close Boat Wild Water races are shorter than WWOC DR or Marathon races. |
